WINDY CITY HOT DOG FEST
We’ll let you decide if you want ketchup or not at the inaugural Windy City Hot Dog Fest happening Saturday & Sunday, June 4-5 in Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood. Some of Chicagoland’s favorite hot dog stands will compete for who has the best frankfurter! And you get to be the judge! Plus, in addition to tasty dogs, patrons will get to listen to great local and regional acts on the event’s mainstage. Plus, don’t miss the kids’ area, arts & crafts vendors and a top dog parade on Sunday!
Windy City Hot Dog Fest is in partnership with the Six Corners Chamber of Commerce. Their vision is to help create a unique and vital shopping/entertainment district that enriches the business community, embraces history, celebrates the arts, preserves their natural environment and promotes quality events to instill a ‘sense of place’ in the community.

Byron's Hot Dogs: Family-owned-and operated, Byron's (with locations on Irving Park Rd. and on Lawrence Ave.) has been a Chicago fixture since 1975 with (trust us!) various encased meats! From cheese to chili to a classic Chicago-style, their dogs are top notch!
Chicago Doghouse: Established in 2009 in the heart of Lincoln Park Chicago. Chicago’s Doghouse has been serving an electric array of exotic and gourmet sausages/hot dogs. Along with their eclectic meat selection a must to try is our one of a kind fry chip fusion called Frips.
Lola's Coney Island: Established in 2019, Lola’s Coney Island is sure to unite all hot dog lovers. Owner-operator Jesse Fakhoury is the force behind Lola’s, named after his four-year-old daughter. Jesse was born and raised in Detroit, MI where the Coney Island hot dog is a hometown favorite. After years of living in Chicago, Jesse saw the opportunity to bring the Michigan staple to the people of Chicago who know a thing or two about a good hot dog. Trying to follow the footsteps of his favorite Southwest Detroit Coney, Duly's.
Taqueria la Ciudad: Located in Chicago's Back of the Yard's neighborhood, this S. Ashland taco joint is on-point with the Mexican fare. They hit the festival-circuit running with their tacos, quesadillas and burritos. But at Windy City Hot Dog Fest, you can be dazzled with the take on a Mexican style hot dog. From guacamole to salsa, their dogs will bring out your spicy side!
La Cebollita Grill: This Marquette Park Mexican restaurant serves everything from gorditas to taquitos to breakfast all day long. But at the Windy City Hot Dog Fest they'll serve a traditional American hot dog with a Mexican twist! Pair it with elotes, rice or beans, and you'll be going back for more!
Tikka Masala Dogs: Now these sound fun! From the owners of Tandoor Char House in Lincoln Park come Tikka Masala Dogs! In 2021, Tandoor won "Best Taco" and the always popular Sam Adams Taco Fest so their debut into Windy City Hot Dog Fest leave the stakes high. They've mastered Mexican food with an Indian flare and are back for an American staple with their special twist. Get ready for something truly amazing -- we know it!
Super Pollo: Located in Chicago's Craigin neighborhood, Super Pollo offers some of the best charcoal chicken around. We cannot wait how they're incorporate their cooking methods and recipes into the traditional American hot dog. Perhaps we'll see a Sonora dog or a hot dog quesadilla. The possibilities are endless!
Lee Concessions: If you've ever been to a Chicago festival, you know Mr. Lee. His chicken-on-a-stick is pretty famous! And we're guessing he is planning on a Asian-inspired hot dog for the Windy City Hot Dog Fest (and hopefully on a stick!). Luckily Mr. Lee and crew have plenty of side items like fried Oreos and ice-cold lemonade to go with that dog.
Do you think you have what it takes! Join us for the first-event hot dog eating contest at the NEW Windy City Hot Dog Fest in Portage Park! Be one of the lucky 5 to wolf down as many hot dogs are you can in 5 minutes. Winner walks away with a trophy and bragging rights!
