AT A GLANCE:
ST. PADDY’S 5K & 8K RUN/WALK
Get seriously Irish for St. Patrick’s Day as Chicago’s St. Paddy’s 5/8K Run & Walk in Lincoln Park returns for its 19th year of green fun.
With its course route along the lakefront, participants are encouraged to use their imaginations and don green attire (or wear a costume) to celebrate the Emerald Isle. There will also be awards for the best-dressed.
So grab your friends, show your Celtic pride and help kick off the spring running season by signing up for the Windy City’s oldest St. Patrick’s Day sprint.
In addition, all participants will receive a commemorative event shirt and are invited to the post-run party at a Compass Bar located one block from the race site at 433 W Diversey Pkwy!
NEW IN 2020! All participants receive a finisher medal! In addition to a long-sleeve tech shirt!
Your registration fee includes an official long-sleeve T-shirt, finisher medal, chip timing (in-person only), runner bib and interactive RaceJoy Course App.

Your safety is out priority! Here's a few things we're doing to make this race safe:
- choose from three waves of start times (10am, 11am and noon)
- masks required at start and finish areas
- large, open field with minimal to no interaction with staff or other participants necessary
- VERY limited number of participants eligible (300 in person registrations only)
- no additional fans/friends/family members allowed at start/finish area prior/during/after the event
Parking can be difficult in this area. There is street parking available on Cannon Drive and Stockton. Paid lots include the Lincoln Park Zoo lot near the lagoon or the Diversey Harbor lot just north of the event site.
Public transportation is plentiful! Visit the CTA website HERE to plan your route today.
