Being a Project Manager at SEM means you do a lot of random jobs — whether is managing a parade or heading up our Equipment Services Department. And Del is the perfect person to fill this role. Prior to his time at SEM, Del worked freelance as an Event Manager for various projects throughout Chicago.

What’s your favorite activity to do outside of work?
I love gaming with friends, exploring new music and biking all around the city.

What’s your favorite part of working at SEM?
There is no shortage of endlessly fascinating characters and places I am constantly discovering.

What’s your favorite event we manage and why?
The Bud Billiken Parade is an absolute blast. The history behind the event and the family name is remarkable and everyone involved really knows how to get down.

What are your three favorite foods?
Caesar salad, deviled eggs, and any kind of giant sandwich from Manny’s Deli

If you were a superhero, what would your name be?
Rocket Man

Would you rather be the funniest or smartest person in the room and why?
Funniest, but sometimes I have to settle for second place when John G is around.

Name the best place you’ve visited in Chicago.
I really love the hidden little beach tucked away behind the Adler Planetarium. Awesome views of the city and minimal crowds.
