Live music will return to the North Shore as Valslist, producer of the Winnetka Music Festival hosts “EMERGE Winnetka,” a one-day music experience showcasing some of the country’s hottest emerging artists. Undaunted by the challenges of the past year, Valslist was determined to bring live music back to Winnetka to benefit communities of the North Shore and the greater Chicagoland area.
Overview
The All Stars Project (ASP) is a privately funded national nonprofit organization founded in 1981 whose mission is to transform the lives of youth and poor communities using the developmental power of performance, in partnership with caring adults. Led by President and CEO Gabrielle Kurlander, ASP involves over 20,000 young people every year in its afterschool programs in seven cities across the country.
Since 2007, All Stars Project of Chicago (ASP of Chicago) has touched the lives of 35,000 young people and families in Chicago’s poorest neighborhoods including Englewood, Gage Park, North Lawndale, Little Village and Austin.
