The scenic course loops participants from Upper Hutchinson Field along Lake Michigan and back, where they are greeted by an afterparty that is just as big as the race itself. The party features live music, beer and wine tasting, contests, snacks and snow cones for the kids.
Come and experience a terrific event while supporting the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation: the oldest and largest civil legal aid provider in Chicago.

Chip timing ensures fast and accurate results. A small, lightweight chip that uniquely identifies athletes as they cross the start and finish lines is clipped to the athletes shoe. The chip must be worn for the entire event. Timing chips are disposable and do not need to be returned after the race.

Individuals may collect their materials on the following days:
- Saturday, September 8th from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at The Runner's Edge, 5243 N. Clark Street
- Sunday, September 9th from Noon until 5:00 PM at The Runner's Edge
Teams may collect their materials on the following days:
- Wednesday, September 12th from 11:30 AM until 6:30 PM at 100 North LaSalle Street, Suite 900
Registration will also be available during pickup hours.
The first 4,800 registrants to attend packet pickup will receive a goody bag and race T-shirt.

Register between 4:30pm and 6pm at race headquarters located in Upper Hutchinson Field (Grant Park) @ Columbus and Balbo.

Prizes will be awarded to the overall fastest male and femal runners, to the fastest male and female lawyers, and to the top three male and female winner in the following age groups: under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.
|
Awards will also be given to the fastest three teams (Relay Teams) in the male, female, and co-ed categories in each of three division:
* Division I - Legal Organization 251+ Employees
* Division II - Legal Organization 1-250 Employees
* Division III - All Non-Legal Organizations
Relay teams consist of four runners, each runner completing the entire 5K, and are scored in one of three categories: Male, Female and Co-Ed. (Co-ed teams are two women and two men.) Each firm or company can submit multiple Relay Teams entries, each consisting of four runners, but is eligible to win only one prize in each category. The Relay Team must get scorecards from the registration tent, fill in the names and times of each runner and submit it no later than 7:30pm. Team scoring is based on the honor system.

Split times will be available on the course. Water will be offered at the start, finish, and on the course. The course is 5K and USATF certified (IL-10076-JW).
