Location: Soldier Field | Chicago

Beneficiary: Prevent Child Abuse America

For sprinters, there's the challenge of a marathon, a half-marathon and, of course, a 5, 8 or 10K run. Then there's the truly unique Windy City event that's the Chicago Quarter Marathon. Back for its third year in 2016, this one-of-a-kind 6.55-mile event has grown since its debut to be winner among local running enthusiasts. Held in early spring, it's also one of the very first warm- weather runs of the year.

With its start/finish line outside Soldier Field, the Quarter Marathon's course route is south along the Lake Michigan shoreline before looping back to the stadium's shadow where a post-race party will again greet participants with snacks, awards and live music. And as past participants can attest, it's a truly memorable running experience!

Frequently Asked Questions
Did I read correctly, the first 25 registrants pay only $.25 for their registration?
Yes, this is correct. However, please do not expect to get this deal! While a lucky 25 do get to take advance, the 2015 event saw this deal disappear in 10 seconds. However, the next 225 pay only $25 and after that, full price ($50.25) registrants receive a complimentary beanie when they register on November 25. So everyone wins in some way!

Can I pick up packets for others?
Yes, you definitely can. However, we limit non-scheduled picking up to five total. If you have more than five you're planning on picking up, please email Gary@chicagoevents.com to make arrangements. This not only saves your time but it saves the time of others also picking up.

I cannot make any of the packet pick-up dates, can I pick-up on race day?
The short answer is yes, we'll make arrangement. However, we HIGHLY recommend that you arrange to have someone pick-up your packet in advance. If you register prior to January 25, you packet will be mailed at no additional charge (from January 26-February 25, pay only $10).

I'm injured and cannot participant! What do I do?
We're sorry to hear about your injury and hope you feel better. First, also keep in mind that this race benefits Prevent Child Abuse America -- so your money goes to a great organization regardless! While we do not offer refunds, we do offer options. Please contact registration@chicagoevents.com for more details.

I followed the jacket sizing and it still doesn't fit, can I exchange for a different size?
We order VERY limited quantities to keep extras at a minimum however, if--after the race--your size is available (and you haven't worn or washed your jacket), we should be able to exchange it. This can be done at the packet pick-up tent.

Do you allow strollers or pets on the course?
We do! But please stay to the back to ensure the safety of others.

I won is my age group but wasn't able to stick around for the amazing post-race celebration, will my medal be mailed?
Yes, we mail medals approximately 2-3 week after the race.
