Hey! Can you spare some change? Puns aside, there will be no nickel & diming when the Chicago Quarter Marathon, celebrating its fourth year in 2017, moves to its NEW LOCATION at Columbus and Balbo on the south end of Grant Park. (In past years, it was held outside Soldier Field.)

This truly unique 6.55-mile sprint along the city's scenic lakefront is one of the first warm-weather runs of the year. All participants receive a finisher medal. And to top things off, theres also course route entertainment plus a post-race party featuring more entertainment and a few other goodies.

For those looking to celebrate the spring, the Chicago Quarter Marathon is a one-of-a-kind (and fun!) running challenge.

About the Beneficiary: Prevent Child Abuse America
Prevent Child Abuse America, founded in 1972 in Chicago, works to ensure that all children have the great childhood they deserve because our children are our future. The organization promotes that vision through a network of chapters in 50 states and over 630 Healthy Families America home visitation sites in 38 states, the U.S. Territories and Canada. A major organizational focus is to advocate for the existence of a national policy framework and strategy for children and families while promoting evidence-based practices that prevent abuse and neglect from ever occurring.

Now go the extra distance for the healthy development of our nation's children by making a gift to Prevent Child Abuse America, the event's official charitable beneficiary. Thank you for your support!

Frequently Asked Questions
Did I read correctly, the first 25 registrants pay only $.25 for their registration?
Yes, this is correct. However, please do not expect to get this deal! While a lucky 25 do get to take advance, the 2016 event saw this deal disappear in 10 seconds. However, the next 225 pay only $25 and after that, full price ($40.25) registrants receive a complimentary beanie when they register on November 25. So everyone wins in some way!

Can I pick up packets for others?
Yes, you definitely can. However, we limit non-scheduled picking up to five total. If you have more than five you're planning on picking up, please email Gary@chicagoevents.com to make arrangements. This not only saves your time but it saves the time of others also picking up.

I cannot make any of the packet pick-up dates, can I pick-up on race day?
The short answer is yes, we'll make arrangement. However, we HIGHLY recommend that you arrange to have someone pick-up your packet in advance. If you register prior to January 25, you packet will be mailed at no additional charge (from January 26-March 25, pay only $10).

I'm injured and cannot participant! What do I do?
We're sorry to hear about your injury and hope you feel better. First, also keep in mind that this race benefits Prevent Child Abuse America -- so your money goes to a great organization regardless! While we do not offer refunds, we do offer options. Please contact registration@chicagoevents.com for more details.

I followed the jacket sizing and it still doesn't fit, can I exchange for a different size?
We order VERY limited quantities to keep extras at a minimum however, if--after the race--your size is available (and you haven't worn or washed your jacket), we should be able to exchange it. This can be done at the packet pick-up tent.

Do you allow strollers or pets on the course?
We do! But please stay to the back to ensure the safety of others.

I won is my age group but wasn't able to stick around for the amazing post-race celebration, will my medal be mailed?
Yes, we mail medals approximately 2-3 week after the race.
