Location: Soldier Field | Chicago

However you want to parse its definition (coin, district/neighborhood or unit of measurement), there's nothing ambiguous about the meaning of this April's Chicago Quarter Marathon. Celebrating its second year in 2015, this one-of-a-kind 6.55-mile event is a proven winner with local runners.

Starting outside Soldier Field, the Quarter Marathon's course route is south along the Lake Michigan shoreline before looping back to the stadium's shadow where a post-race party will again greet participants with snacks, awards and live music. And as past participants can attest, it's a unique running experience that's hard to forget!
