March to College 5K

Run or walk for a truly noble cause: encouraging public school students to graduate high school and go to (as well as graduate from) college at the 2nd annual March to College 5K! It's also unique in that this 5K (non-competitive) after-work run and walk will be held in on a Thursday afternoon in scenic Grant Park.

March to College is presented by AIM High, a program of the Chicago-based non-profit Center for Companies That Care. Open to all Chicagoland residents and students, its goal is to inspire underprivileged, school-age students to "aim high" for a college education.

In addition, Centers for Companies That Care will also be exhibiting its "Gallery of Celebrity Endorsements" where public figures who support higher education have autographed t-shirts with the event's "Go to College" slogan. (Companies That Care will later donate these t-shirts to participating CPS schools.)

Fees

$35 for adults
$10 for students (through college, with student ID)
$25 for families (one adult + 2 kids)

AIM High is a long-term structured, more-than-mentoring program dedicated to dramatically improving college graduation rates among urban youth by matching teams of employees with individual, vulnerable, minority high school students to ensure they graduate from college and are prepared for tomorrow's workplace.
