Ravenswood Remix

Ravenswood Remix

Date: Saturday & Sunday, September 1-2, 2012
Time: Noon to 10pm Daily
Location: On Ravenswood from Belle Plaine to Berteau | Chicago
Official Event Website
Remix! Rethink! Recycle! Ravenswood Remix, benefiting local school art programs, is Chicago's first recycled art festival. By taking used or recycled goods and creating original art, clothing, household items, jewelry, paper objects, collectibles and other crafts, artists are changing the way communities think about the value of recyclables. The fest has already been coined by the Red Eye as 'one of the best fests to check out,' and is a Metromix pick. We aim to ignite the community's interest in recycled materials, local education and promote the local and green movements as a whole, while raising funds for local school art programs.

The two-day event also features workshops and educational happenings for all ages. Featuring the works of local artists, great music, food from forward-thinking restaurants and refreshing beverages, it's a great way to cap off your summer fun!

Do you have an eco-friendly idea or art workshop to share with the community? Ravenswood Remix offers a free platform for you to educate the community on ways to remix, rethink and recycle.

Workshops are free to the public and will be one hour. Stay tuned for a schedule of workshops.

For information on hosting a workshop, contact info@ravenswoodremix.com.
