Voted "Best Art Fair" by the readers of Northshore Magazine!
On June 19th and 20th, the city of Evanston and the surrounding North Shore communities celebrate the 38th annual Custer's Last Stand. What is now Evanston's largest and oldest outdoor event, Custer's Last Stand has become famous throughout the Midwest for its diverse and unique features.
Thousands of people will come this June to hear a wide variety of live music, to shop for antiques and high quality arts and crafts, to visit an authentic North American Indian Pow-wow, to enjoy the top-quality food offered by area restaurants and to encourage their children to participate in the many activities available for them.
Two words best describe Custer's Last Stand: Quality and Diversity. The organizing committee behind Custer's Last Stand is powerful. This event has a significant socioeconomic impact on the community. Not only does Custer's employ area youths, but the event has also become a prestigious showcase for community artists, entertainers and musicians.
